The soon-to-follow succession of poems was originally published by a longstanding, now-defunct webzine, whose editor decided (over a year ago), after (presumably) tiring of the project, to erase his and everybody's investment--rather than, more respectably, leaving the thing online as an archived homage to its contributors.
It would not be fair of me to submit them elsewhere, as they have already appeared before the world. Very occasionally, I will post a poem that I don't intend to have published. But mostly this page will serve as a makeshift hub for my published works, abstruse musings, news regarding Electric Windmill--and other godforsaken (but hopefully amusing) miscellany.
I intend to sustain my recent trend of being published on a regular basis, but if that suddenly stops happening, at least my unexpected and unfortunate downfall will be recorded here in the form of obscene outbursts and unsightly spasms.
But seriously, no, that won't happen.
Another thing: I have done this whole blogging thing on-and-off for about ten years to mixed personal results (i.e. boredom, irresponsibility, and frustration toward the keyboard-wielding half-wits [see YouTube comments section of any video ever made] who pollute the almighty interwebs with their deliberately debasing color commentary.) I will post here when it feels right (poet's prerogative) so you, faithful reader, refresh button-pusher, will drive yourself mad with waiting. Of course, the external world is so much more interesting than what's going on in the sad land of thinly-veiled narcissism, social-networking make-believe. I was a resident there once and it felt fruitless and emotionally draining. Now, I'm an itinerant contributor. I prefer to sit in parks and libraries and stuff and, like, ruminate, and prefer to report my findings in the form of a poem, story, article, etc.
Let's live our physical lives (like, away from shiny machines, or something) and meet here irregularly.
It will be more meaningful that way.
